Also, I would love to know what your opinion is on who the Sage is.... I'm guessing Violet's father buuuuut also not sure that the author would make two back-from-the-dead tropes in the same story.
It could just be a random antagonist we haven't met yet..

Unpopular opinion, but I didn't hate the ending! If there are more books left, then it only makes sense that SOMETHING happened at the end of this one... the plot has to continue in some way after that battle.

Overall, I thought it was a bit slower than the first one, but I still devoured the story.

Okay - I just finished the book and I was decently impressed. I do think there could have been more added to the backstory/ world building, but I genuinely enjoyed reading it!

Just started today! On chapter 5 and currently VERY intrigued with the dark romance vibes. Who doesn’t love a fling between a 16 year old witch and a 324 year old vampire?! 😅

I agree with most of you that this book is different than the typical fantasy books that we read! If we're honest, it's borderline urban fantasy, too. Just a touch of magic really... Regardless, I do enjoy it! I'm about half-way done and really like the way the author has developed both Roman and Iris. (:
