The book I am reading is called Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. The genres in this book are: Science Fiction, Romance, Social Issues and Distopia. Science Fiction: The book has science fiction because it is set in the future. Its in the future because they say that humans have been misusing the earth and all the plants and animals have been dying. My main character Juliette also has a disease where when she touches people, she has the power to kill them.
Romance: This has romance because the main character, Juliette, has very strong feelings for a boy named Adam. Adam is also invincible to her touch.
Social Issues: My book has social issues because Juliette has a serious problem with people touching her and her touching people because her touch can kill everybody except Adam.
Distopia: The book I am reading also has distopia because there is a big leader called the "The Reestablishment" who takes over the entire world and the government has more power over the citizens.
