Think about it: your book is a part of many different genres! What genres is your book? Why?

The book that I am currently reading is Little Brother,by Cory Doctorow. The genres explored throughout this book are: Dystopia, action, science fiction and social issues. Science Fiction: My novel appears to be science fiction because it is set in a futuristic world. This world is dominated by technology and, to counter this, rising amounts of hackers have started to rest in the world. Becoming a hacker is treated as a job, which will help their community.
Dystopia: Little Brother is set in a dystopian setting because of its surrounding emotions and humans. The development of homeland security, or DHS, has taken over the world, using devices such as bugs and trackers. They are able to track any citizen contained within their borders, making life extremely difficult for people.
Social Issues: The protagonist in my novel, Marcus, appears to develop social issues, both with his principle and surrounding citizens.
