End of Days is the novel that I will be reading during this study. Genres explored in this book include science fiction, political commentary, as well the text takes place in a dystopian setting. Science Fiction: In this novel an asteroid, quite capable of destroying humanity, will come in path of Earth, or miss the Earth marginally, ergo resulting in the abolishment of our atmosphere, also wiping out the human race. In hopes of diverting the asteroid or destroying the mass, astrophysicists and scientists from around the world are brought together to work collaboratively and propose a solution to this humanity shattering issue.
Political Commentary: A large aspect of this book is about how major influences debate weather to inform the world of its fate or have citizens live unknowing that they are doomed. Would it be best for survival if people are knowledgable about the severity of this situation?
This is the prime question of this novel.
Dystopian: Quite simply, humanity is coming to an end and the world has erupted into a state of chaos. This is an ideal example of a dystopian book.
