One major question... How literate is this rp going to be? Typical grammar mistakes that can be otherwise avoided tends to annoy me after a while, so I was wondering...

Adelheid Ainsworth ~ Silvermoss

Birthday: December 13, '94


From: Southern Idaho


Type/Species: Human, Half Elf, Shapeshifter (Magical birthmark equivalent)


Abilities: Can manipulate all forms of water and also use water as a healing agent. Can shapeshift into a white gyrfalcon. As she continues to explore her abilities, she discovers she has inherited the ability to use *magic* and has a longer lifespan than the average human.


Personality: She’s adaptable, flexible, honest, and usually appears apathetic. She has an affectionate and charming side that rarely shows to anyone, and can be persistent at times. She is also emotionally reserved.


History: Addie used to live in the northern part of Idaho. She is socially withdrawn due to bad experiences as a child, and prefer to spend more time in the woods. Addie was homeschooled as a child, and only went to public school for a year prior to that. She return to public school during her junior year of high school - thus, she lacks people-skills. She is a winter child, born at the stroke of midnight. She’s an only child due to her mother’s accident and as a result, her parents gifted her a necklace - a floral-motif chain with sterling silver teardrop made of Swarovski crystals, with stained-glass-look in blue and silver - which she keeps locked up in a treasure-like box


Family: Addie is part Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, French, Irish, and Native American. Her great-great-great-great grandfather Fáelán Ainsworth’s family immigrated to America in 1848, during the Great Irish Potato Famine. In 1855, he met and fell in love with a Native American woman named Aylen Rayen, and they married. Generations later, and her grandfather met an Asian woman - her grandmother. Her grandmother’s mother was 1/4 French, 1/4 Chinese, and half Vietnamese, while her father was part Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese. In 1971, her grandmother gave birth to Adelheid’s mother, Lan Ainsworth.

Her mother, Lan Ainsworth originally lived in the state of Washington, before she met Xavier Amaron. She followed her love back to his hometown - in Northern Idaho, where she stayed ever since. Lan found out about Xavier’s elven heritage after she moved to Idaho with him. She accepted both his proposal and heritage thereafter, and lived nearby the Silver Meadow Forest.

Xavier Amaron - He is part of a local tribe that have roam the woods in the Northern parts of Idaho for centuries. They have hidden themselves from society except to acquire their homeland as private property- separate from the human settlements - under one name. Xavier met Lan almost completely by accident - when she went hiking in the woods on a vacation trip to the Rocky Mountain. They’ve kept in touch and soon, their relationship developed and the rest is history. Due to the tribe avoidance to most human contact, Lan and Xavier decided to let Adelheid keep her mother’s maiden name.

Hobbies: Her favorite pastimes are reading, wandering through the woods, swinging on a swing in a playground and, whenever possible, learn more about archery and falconry. She is also interested in herbs and their uses and is a healer by nature. Addie loves to ice-skate and surf on the water instead. She enjoys the wind blowing against her when she’s moving at fast speed whether on land, in water, or in the air.


Appearance:

Humanoid - She’s a slender figure of average height, has fair skin and hazel eyes with specks of sapphire blue. When observed in sunlight, the coloring appears light brown/amber near the pupil and charcoal or dark green on the outer part of the iris. Her very dark chestnut hair is sometimes mistaken as black at a distance. It is also layered with midnight blue highlights, ending 2-3 inches below her shoulders. Her jewelries are: a pair of silver earrings with multiple dangling mini-stars of different sizes, a black rubber necklace cord with a silver-plated clasp with a sterling silver eagle pendant hanging midway down the cord, a Fossil ES-1570 wristwatch worn on her left hand, and a silver charm bracelet on her right.

She dresses casually, usually preferring dark blue jeans and a midnight green t-shirt that has aquatic flowers decorating the bottom layer with the words “ECO Green Globe” in jade slightly in the center. A picture of a waterfall in a forest adorn the interior of the ‘O’ in “ECO.” An eagle taking flight in mid-air centers on the back of the shirt. Addie also wears a pair of white Women’s Skechers Wide Width “Bikers-Dream Come True” Sneakers. A denim or leather jacket with a hood finishes her look. (Sometimes a hoodie.)

Demi-Form - She has feathers growing out at the back of her nape, and her hair turns a silvery blue-violet. Wings grows out of her back and her nails sharpens claw-like. Her eyesight also sharpens and she is able to fly in this form. Unfortunately, when her wings grow, it leaves tears on the back of her shirt so Addie does not often change into this form. The rest of her appearance in this form remains the same. One the downside, she needs more rest, and cannot cover as much distance as when she is in her full shifted form.

Gyrfalcon - As the largest falcon in the known world, the Gyrfalcon breeds in arctic and subarctic regions of the northern hemisphere. It preys mostly on large birds, pursuing them in breathtakingly fast and powerful flight. As a fully grown falcon, it spans at 51 to 65 cm (20 to 26 in) long, and 124 to 160 cm (49 to 64 in) wingspan.
White gyrfalcon have almost pure white breasts and bellies. The rest of Addie’s body is white mottled with brown. She has dark wing tips and pointed wings, and while as an adult, she’ll have characteristics such as yellow ceres, eye-rings and legs, as a juvenile, these display features are in a blue-ish color. From a distance, her eyes will appear black.


Others: Some call her Addy/Addie, for short. Others, call her Heidy.
She prefers shades and tints of cool colors. (Blue, Green, Purple) She can also be seen often listening to her iPod. She values honesty, integrity, and understand the sense of duty. She aims to earn her degree in Interior Design in College.

She has blood type O. Addie hates seafood, but will eat seasoned seaweed. She has Arachnophobia, though do not mind seeing animated or cartoon versions of her fear. She is also right-handed and sarcasm is her second language.

Her strength includes learning agility (a quick learner) and effective personal communication skills. She can be self-motivated and determined (Is it the same as being assertive?) when necessary.

Some of her flaws includes having trouble admitting she’s wrong, sometimes paranoid, stubborn, and withdrawn. Addie lost sight of herself and was devoid of direction or purpose in life so she often seem uncaring or heartless.


***side note*** her ability to shapeshift is her magical "birthmark" and her ability to control water is her strongest magic.
