Looks like I'm late to the party! I wasn't aware about migration/color genre book challenge but somehow i read amazing books recently.
I'm YA reader. The issues are dealt delicately.
I recently read- Brown Girl Dreaming (Jacqueline Woodson)
Betty before X (Betty Shabaz) wife of Malcolm X.

Kelly Yang's Front desk (Chinese migration to USA) and now reading it's sequel 'Three Keys'
they have real life inputs from author's life

good luck...and with new members life can actually be interesting. there is group on Facebook the book Reading nook. it is a fun group and you can also find pop fun quizzes.. keep me busy somewhat. I'm a first time/ new mom of a toddler 21 months and 6 months old puppy.
depression hit me hard with my son...and I recollected that in 2018 I READ only 16 books.life sucked.. because everything was overwhelming.
finding a group...and some one to he accountable to... started to roll one step ahead of another. some days would be a cry and drag. because nothing could get accomplished..some days are better.
