#6: A Nordic Noir: “The Chestnut Man” by Soren Sveistrup 3.5 Stars

Cool idea! I’m listening to The Great Alone on audio right now and enjoying it. What were your thoughts on it?

I am listening to The Chestnut Man on audio. It’s interesting hearing the writing from a different nationality. There are subtle differences and hearing correct pronunciation on audio is great!

I loved The Poisonwood Bible. It is a very polarizing book. Folk either love it or hate it. There seems to be no in between. I loved it when I r..."I just finished Fairy Tale and I listened to it on audio which I think also added to the experience because he did so many different voices. I really enjoyed it!

Lillie so sorry. I don’t know why I didn’t get a message that you commented. You know I actually switched back and forth from audio and reading the book. Sounds like you made it through and liked it though. It did require a little patience but I felt like it was worth the wait.

13. The Keeper of Hidden Books

I loved My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry. It was so lovely. I did the audio so it was fun to hear the characters voices

Hi Everyone! I’m Cecilia from Denver, CO. I’m a psychotherapist with an almost 4 year old son. I love art, ghost stories, pretty much anything woo-woo, animals, cooking, and travel. I’m a notorious book hoarder with multiple very large bookshelves and a TBR that is so long that I’d have to be 120 years old to finish it and that’s just what I have now. The genres I like generally are HF, horror, sci-fi, psychology/self-help, fantasy, memoir, and the occasional contemporary. I’ll read just about anything, but I struggle with dry non-fiction and poetry.
Six degrees of Evanston, my sister lives there 😉

The House in the Cerulean Sea was so great. The way he writes is just so endearing. I too have this problem of getting excited and then sitting on the shelf. I have The Alice Network and Midnight Library on the shelf
