She took it with her pale hand, thin and fragile, her skin thin from chemo. She hope he hadn't noticed, and admired the way their skin tones contrasted. "Alright Peter" she smiled, admiring his eyes in the rain. "Where are we going?"

She groaned and rolled her eyes. "Stop being so all powerful, Holmes" she quipped.

"I-yeah. " she said, walking inside ahead of him and fumbling around in the dark, climbing the stairs.

Jessica finished sweeping up, punched out and grabbed her coat. Her manager stopped her for a moment to talk about how she was doing, and Jessica simply explained she as okay but that the bills were adding up. She bid him goodbye and walked out the front, slipping on her cheap grey wool coat. She saw him and sighed, walking over as her heels clicked. "Hey Professor. " she smiled brightly.

"Don't be" she whispered, watching him intently as she sighed and closed her eyes, stretching out.

That seemed to hurt more than anything else. And it hit her like a ton of bricks. She was in love with Sherlock Holmes. The one human being on this earth incapable of love. Yet she hid it well, or at least tried, setting her sweatshirt down and leaning against the wall of the house.

She waved and kept glancing over her shoulder, smiling broadly as she brushed off her boss before continuing her work.

Her smile was from ear to ear as she opened her mouth. "I-" Someone yelled at her in French from behind the counter, cursing at her in French and causing her to wince. She quickly turned. "I would love to!" She called over her shoulder.

"I...I don't..." She couldn't find the words to say, and picked up her sweater. "No. You don't love anyone. And not me especially. Don't do this to me"

Her face lit up like a Christmas tree. "In an hour" she grinned, tucking her bangs back. "Why?" She smiled, biting into her cherry red lip.

She frowned then, letting go of him as her mind seemed to race a million miles an hour. Her eyes darted back and forth as she analyzed his face. She backed up a bit. "No. What game are you playing?" She suddenly felt panicked. "Are you bringing me in to Scotland Yard?" She backed up, stumbling as she looked scared. "You're lying"

"Why me?" She breathed, her eyes clouded as she watched him with a placid face. She stood on her toes and her hands tangled in his perfectly mussed hair. "Why a jobless killer with an obsession with material possessions?"

"Are you sure Professor?" She smiled, putting her hand on his shoulder as she collected the leftover dishes. "You don't seem it" she whispered, straightening as concern beamed from her bright eyes.

"Well whatever you say" her warm breath fogged as it reached his face, above her head. "I still don't believe the smartest man alive, so attractive, could have made it to this age without a kiss" she smiled.

"Oh Sherlock" she false scorned. She wasn't sure how to react to his change in voice, and it honestly frightened her a little. Yet she pressed on. "Don't lie. You looked away. That's an obvious giveaway." She smiled, her hands against his back, fingers trailing against him.

"No.." Her hands snaked around his form midsection, an entertained smile on her features. "What about Molly?" She considered a moment and came up with a winner. "Or...Irene?" She whispered with a triumphant smirk.

She studied him, leaning back a bit as she saw his eyes, her grip on his shirt loosening so her hands slipped down his chest, only her fingertips touching him. "What?" She whispered, looking up at him

"Mmm" she whispers into the kiss, parting her lips against his as her hands knotted in his shirt fabric.

She looked up at him, her hands against his chest as she chewed her lip, gazing cautiously up at him, swallowing hard. "Don't you with me," she begged, leaning her head against his firm chest and sighing.

Her breathing hitched as she felt his thin fingers against her freezing skin, somehow warm against her. "God Sherlock please" she pleaded quietly. Why did he turn her into some Virginia girl every time he saw her?
