"I...sorry," she whispered in her accent, pulling her coat tighter out of nervous habit as she released his hands, looking down and trying to smile.
She lowered her hands to bring them closer together as she laughed breathily. "Seeee?" She giggled. "Was that so...." It was then she noticed their faces were so close she could his breath on her face and she swallowed hard as her smile faded slightly.((Oh gosh you're fine. He's Muslim right?))
((Oooh I'm excited now. Ya know what I mean though, right? She's really naive and easily influenced, so if Al makes a move and she responds in a neutral way, if Al pushes for it she'll cave to pressure and oooh this will be dramatic and fun!))
((Great!!))Jessica pulled two glasses from the cabinet and set them on the counter before cutting into the brownies. She poured a generous amount in both and handed one to Al. "So what's up Ali-cakes?" she giggled in her usual innocent, bright and bubbly way.
((It's fine!! Did you read my idea?))"Oh Ali" she sighed, hugging her before pulling back and smiling remorsefully. "Never fear! I have chocolate brownies and wine!" she giggled, taking her hand and leading her to the counter as she uncovered the chocolate confections.

Sweet, quiet and easily hurt, Ryder isn't one to open up easily. He is protective of those he cares about, and, due in part to his deep and commanding voice, does not need to speak often to make his thoughts known. He is not always the brightest bulb in the box, yet he will do anything to help a friend in need. His family is quite wealthy, yet he spends most of his time trying to pretend he isn't.
