Vivien cried out in pain. Her wrist felt like someone had driven a hot rod through her wrist and left it there. Vivien slapped the girl square on the face with her broken wrist which only made it worse. Her eyes watered as the pain heated her wrist. "Then stop liking like a two year old," Vivien said through her gritted teeth. The girl needed to control herself. If Cobie was going to snap all the girls' wrists before they even got to the palace, the prince would likely have her head. A lightbulb went off in her head. Vivien eyed Cobie with a pained smirk. "Better watch that temper, little. One." She accentuated the last two words with her mouth before settling to a smirk.

"I know enough, sweetheart," Vivien shot back, fixing and straightening her jacket. Maybe sitting by the door wasn't such a good idea, considering the idiotic company she'd been sharing for God knows how long. Cobie reminded her of Lily whenever they got into fights. Lily couldn't want to berate her every chance she got... and Vivien would tattle tell her to their parents. Here, there were no mother or father to come to her aid. Not that she really needed it. She handled people like Cobie all the time. She was just jealous, that was all. Vivien had qualities she could only dream she could have. "That's enough, little one," Vivien said with a boop of the girl's nose. "Stop acting like such a child. Screaming at the top of your lungs. Do you need attention that badly, hm?" Vivien snorted, crossing her arms as she glared at Cobie. "You wish, darling. You're nothing more than a whiney brat. You go whine to someone who would actually listen." Vivien waved her off as she redid her ponytail, blood boiling as Cobie's voice still rang in her ears.

"Psh, yeah right you could," Vivien said, rolling her eyes as she flicked her hand and smirked at Cobie. She was nothing more than a pest. If need be, she'd remove her from the equation. If she planned to take anyone out, it would have to well thought out. Some girl who really threatened her chances of being the next queen. For now, Aster and Cobie were at the top of her list but she had to meet the other girls first before coming to a decision. "That would be impossible," Vivien mumbled, wishing that this wasn't in a formal setting so she could be childish and stick out her tongue. "Did you ever think that, perhaps, we could help each other? No, you didn't. An idiotic person like yourself could never even conceive being three steps ahead of the game. You should at least be useful and discover new allies at least." She continued mumbling to herself as Cobie's thick skull couldn't take what she was saying. Were all of the selected going to be this rude? If she had to guess, the girl must be a six. They never really gave the higher ups a chance to actually educate themselves. "I doubt the prince would so much as look at you if you drive his girls to tears. Now, you wouldn't want that, would you? Be the prince's first target?" It wouldn't matter anyway, nothing Vivien could say would get through to this girl. And why was she helping her? Could it be pity? Yeah, sure. Helping a poor, educated girl understand the rules of society. If Cobie didn't watch it, all eyes would be on her. And not in the let's have everyone turn their heads as the girl walks down the staircase type of way, oh no. Cobie was bound to make a fool of herself as soon as she stepped foot in the palace. And Vivien would just have to bring some popcorn to watch. Ah. She probably shouldn't though, she still had to watch her figure. Vivien sighed at the thought and ran her fingers through her sleek ponytail.
((yessss. XD not that i want to see your character suffer but it would be kind of funny if vivien somehow snuck in and saw cobie struggling and like gave pointers.))

Vivien's hand twitched as the girl's mouth just kept on talking. Geez. What made her all grouchy? It was just simple pleasantries. It wasn't like they were that hard. Sure, she was close to escaping in case something did happen but she had to deal with this ruffian. "We might as well be civil for the prince, dear," Vivien said through a stiff smile. "Pleasure, Cobie. now, was that really so hard? You'd think the prince could at least weed through the trash. What could you offer the prince, anyway?" She inspected the dirt from under her nails. "Not like he chose you for your gorgeous personality. You could never get close to the prince with that attitude." Honestly, did this girl think she could even hold a conversation with the prince? She'd probably flab her upper lip and who would be laughing now? Vivien, Vivien would.

Vivien was having her back stick straight, expecting the girl to ask her name in return. When she just left it at that, Vivien nearly pouted. She should've expected this. Naturally, there were going to be some ruffians in this odd group. Vivien smoothed down her pants and said, "Vivien Braam, a pleasure to meet you." Seconds ticked by before Vivien clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth and said, "You know, if we are to get along, it would be nice to know who I'm talking to. After all, the prince probably wants to see how well we can work with strangers. So come on, let's practice your speaking skills we meet the dear old prince." Cobie could use the practice. If she was going to speak with one word sentences, Vivien would rather walk. Her cousin Harold always gave her one word replies and it drove her up the wall. As she waited for Cobie's response, she scanned the limo several times. Hm. There were a few girls who looked promising. Maybe even the chatty redhead. Aster... perhaps. They already talked briefly and although Aster could be used as her good deed, there were other girls to talk to.

Vivien was the last one to enter as she allowed the other girls to walk in first. Might as well set the tone as the polite one before they all got off on the wrong foot. She spotted Aster's shock of blue hair and immediately turned around. She couldn't let anything happen today. No outbursts, nothing. Nothing to make her a target amongst the other selected. As she climbed into the limo after the second to last girl, one of the guards closed the door and off they went. At least if they were targeted, Vivien would have an easy escape by being the first one to open the door. Sitting on the plush seats, Vivien had one leg in front of her and the other close to the door, just in case.
Vivien caught Aster talking to another girl further down her left and snuck a couple glances at her. Would she even remember her? Of course it was only a couple hours since they saw each other. But when you worked like Aster, the faces tended to merge together and everyone looked the same. But Vivien must've made some sort of impression on her.
She peeled her eyes away from Aster. Forget about her, there are more than enough girls here. Vivien inclined her head to the girl on her left and smiled, fixing her bangs as she waited for the girl to answer. "Hello, and what might your name be?"

Awwww. Maybe she was making the poor girl sweat? Vivien pouted when Aster's face turned chalk white. She was only asking for lunch, nothing much could come out of a quick bite to eat. If she really wanted to do something to Aster, she would've drugged her as the crowd dissipated.
"Thinking about your stomach? Oh dear, you can't live life that way. Otherwise, what would be the fun in that? Take some risks now and again," she bumped the girl playfully with her elbow, "it could do wonders for a stiff girl like you." This much was clear: Aster wanted no part in whatever plan Vivien had for her. If she didn't break it off soon, Aster would definitely be a blabber mouth. Especially once she recognized Vivien. Maybe she would just have to play deaf till they were accomodated in their own rooms.
Vivien couldn't help but laugh at Aster's sarcasm. "Yes, you are the scum of the earth if you don't give it your all." She had no idea why she laughed by the way Aster put it, it was hilarious. As the conversation continued, she couldn't but think of Lily who always got irritated whenever Vivien would bother her with a house chore. "Weird? Me? Oh no, now I can't have you thinking about me like that now can I? See, you would never have seen me again if only you took that fifty. AND we probably wouldn't even be here for another twenty minutes if you had just taken it. What I can't wrap my head around is, all I want to do is pay you for your fabulous service, and you just won't take it." Vivien rubbed her long, polished nails against the palms of her hands. Even with her sharp mind, Vivien couldn't figure this girl out. If she wanted nothing to do with her, she could just leave and they could go on about their days but for some reason, she stayed. Maybe Vivien could've left too but the matter was that Aster didn't take the money, a manner that would be talked about endlessly, amongst the Braams, if she were Lily.
But if they were to part ways, she'd want it to be on her terms. "Well," she flipped her long hair over her shoulder, "it's been lovely talking to you, Aster," she said with a voice sweet as honey. "Who knows? Maybe we'll come across each other sooner than you think and you'll avoid me, sadly. Anyways," Vivien patted Aster on the head again, hoping to get some kind of reaction from her, "good luck on being a selected and I'll be sure to cheer for you!"

Vivien couldn't help but stare at the girl before her. In the Braam family, if something was given without question, you took it. Didn't matter what form it took. Whether it be money, clothes, or jewelry, you received it gratefully. And you better make sure you returned the favor. Nothing came for free in the Braam family. Maybe that was why Lily was always the black sheep of the family. She was perceived as the selfish one. Lily never returned a favor with interest. Vivien made sure to treat her relatives to an expensive restaurant while reaffirming that they would always be a good ally in case she needed them. Lily never did make use of her connections. She burned bridges when she should've constructed some of her own. Vivien couldn't stand it when poor Lily relied on her so much. It was tiresome having to take care of her. If Lily understood the rules of their family early on, Vivien wouldn't think of her sister as a little leech.
With the girl not taking the money, Vivien took it as an insult. Stuck up, good for nothing... When the girl commented on her hug, she couldn't help but snort. "Oh dear, maybe you need another one. Poor thing." Vivien made it look like she would give another when she backed away and smiled. "You really need another one don't you?" The way Aster was acting, she wouldn't doubt if the girl attacked her. Although... "What if I treated you out? You're bound to be famished waiting and waiting till they actually collect all the selected. How about it? Besides, it'll be a public place if you're worried I'm might try something," she said with a wink, tucking her hands in her pockets. Who could refuse a nice lunch out in the sun? No one. No one in their right mind would ever. But Vivien had an inkling that this girl just might do something as stupid as refuse lunch with a stranger. In that case, cheaper for her but Aster would definitely be missing out. Vivien would just have to keep an eye on her during the selection. No need to rush introductions once they met at the palace. Matter fact was that Aster would probably want to keep her distance from her the entire time. Maybe even start some horrendous rumors about her. If the girl dared to whisper so much as a letter about Vivien, she'd just have to handle it. No one ever said the pressure of marrying a glorious prince and the stressful roles that would come along with it would be easy. Perhaps during a party on the balconies would end in a disastrous suicide. They couldn't blame Vivien if she said she tried to help Aster. Her unfortunate death would only occur if the girl spoke. Either way, Vivien would do her best to be pleasant with the girl. No need to fester rumors especially ones that could easily reach the prince.
"Ah, but you should at least try nothing worse than a person who doesn't give their one hundred percent. There may be even more benefits the further you go into this competition. Maybe even more money than you could dream of." Vivien was in cloud nine. She couldn't help but imagine the luxurious apartment she'd had her eye on for quite some time. The gorgeous makeup one could never get enough of. Not to mention the food and room service that came with it. She could've died right then and there just thinking about it. "But what about lunch?" She pouted.
