“There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and everyday confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of either merit or sense.” - Pride and Prejudice

The Bodyguard by Katherine Center, just read this and it was really good!

dear john, so much emotion and i love the chorus and bridge.

pretty much the wholeee album, i think this album gets so much hate just because of the singles. i love cornelia street, death by a thousand cuts, cruel summer, false god, afterglow, daylight, and it’s nice to have a friend (so underrated).

i still have some coho books on my tbr (it ends with us, all your perfects, november 9) despite disliking the ones i have read (verity, reminders of him). i really disliked her writing because i felt that i was being spoonfed information instead of being able to use my own discernment as a reader; there’s no subtlety. i also just disliked all the characters lol. i wanna try more of her books before forming a full opinion, but something i will say is her books are SO easy to read. i seriously cant say this about any other author; as soon as you start a coho book, you just turning the pages. i love that since this year i’ve been struggling with not dnf’ing books. like rn i’m in a slump and it’s the perfect time to pick up it ends with us (kinda scared to read it based on the reviews tho…)

Credence and I love the setting soooo much, it's the main reason I picked up this book. It's my first Penelope Douglas book + first taboo romance in general

miscommunication is a really cheap trope, like the author couldn't think of other ways to add conflict to a story. at this point i instantly DNF when i see this trope.

also 'felicity' and 'upstream' by mary oliver! they're easy to read and are about nature, definitely can be read in a day but still add some light into your life

daisy jones & the six! the format makes it easy to read and the story itself is engaging.
the seven deaths of evelyn hardcastle
any book by colleen hoover but particularly verity

when i think of this song i think of DRAMA: elaborate weddings and failed marriages and broken friend groups and expensive champagne. please recommend a book that fits this glitzy vibe

the great gatsby, daisy & gatsby
"But we were something, don't you think so?
Roaring 20s, tossing pennies in the pool
And if my wishes came true
It would've been you"

any taylor song. i hate tiktok <3

book: the song of achilles
song: state of grace
(this book and song literally match omg)

taurus & red (taylor's version)
