@Jennifer I'm glad it isn't just me on this one.

I'm currently reading
The Ex Hex and I'm struggling with the POV. It's not obvious who the observer is and it is annoying me enough that I'm not enjoying it.
Does this ever happen to anyone else?

I fell down a Kindle Unlimited rabbit hole and read a bunch of romances. Sports romances, spicy romances; anything with a HEA and good characters really

I've hit a bit of an annoying slump. I've been trying a few new authors and I've been utterly disappointed. I've been lucky with my KU choices until recently.
I decided to pick up
The Perfect First yet another new to me author but I've actually heard good things about this series so hopefully it lives up to those things.

@jennifer DNF= did not finish
I usually finish most of my books but some I just can’t get into all do they become dnfs

@Sadie have you tried
From Blood and Ash the series by Jennifer L Armentrout. I'm currently on book 3 and my favorite series right is ACOTAR and this one reminds me of it.
I can't help on the others because I haven't read anything similar at least according to Google. However, when I did Google books similar to these it led me to Goodreads shelves full of recs.
My favorites right now are fantasy and romance. I can't deal with negativity and anxiety in mysteries and thrillers right now.
Here is my favorite
shelf is here.

@Sadie what are some of your faves and may be we can help pick one similar?

Welcome Karlien

I'm currently reading 3. One audio
The Crown of Gilded Bones also
The Fine Print and
If the Shoe Fits. Whichever one of those grabs my attention first. I wasn't sure what exactly I was in the mood for.

Welcome @Katie!

@Sadie; The Cruel Prince was a DNF for me this year. I'm not sure if I just wasn't in the mood for it or if it just wasn't meant to be.

@Sadie; I have the same problem. Library books keep coming in and then I read those instead of the books I already own.
I finished
Beautiful Disaster last night; while I enjoyed the beginning and most of the middle I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it.

I'm currently reading
Beautiful Disaster and I literally read 73 pages when I woke up this morning and I contemplated calling in sick to read :)

@Jennifer - Yay
@Sadie; I have Throne of Glass on my TBR for October. I have so many book so my October TBR that I hope I can get to it. I agree; world building is another character and it needs to be strong.

@Sadie. If you like ACOTAR you'll probably enjoy this one. The world building and politics of this is so good. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

@Sadie; I literally just finished it. I downloaded the audio of book 2 so I can start listening to it on the way home

@Jennifer; it was cute. I hope you like it. I ended up liking my next read after that one more which was
Marriage for One because I liked the heroine better.
It's often funny what you discover about your reading preferences when you least expect it.
I'm currently reading
The Penalty Box. I also never knew I loved a good sports romance either.

I'm currently reading
The Love Hypothesis and I'm loving it so far. It sucked me in immediately.

I'm hopefully going to finish
Love, Chai, and Other Four-Letter Words today. And quite honestly; I'm a wee bit ticked that I got to the point this morning where all the emotions are happening and I ad to go to work. 100 pages from the finish line and I have to adult.
I am pleasantly surprised by this one. The title sounded cute so I picked it up but I've been falling in love the whole time and now I'm a little heart broken.
