So sorry to hear about your seizures, Jennifer. I know what you mean about snuggles with your puppy! My cats always make me feel better! One of them can tell when my blood sugar falls dangerously low. She jumps on me and swats at my face and pulls my hair until I wake up and eat something. I take insulin shots 4 times a day, so my cat really is a lifesaver!I'm thankful for nice weather, too. We've been hit by 3 tropical storms/hurricanes in as many weeks. Many in my area lost their homes. Some lost their lives. More heat and storms are expected this week.😥
Praying that you feel better.

I haven't been receiving any notifications, so completely missed this!
😕 I wonder what's up with Goodreads lately?🤔

If we lose the bees, the rest of the animal kingdom, including humans, won't survive very long.💖🌹🐝💞
I collect Teddy Bears and have a number of them with honey pots and bees attached. Very cute!

Savannah is such a beautiful and historic city! St. Simons island is lovely, too. I enjoy historical fiction set in those locations!

Hi Lacy! I enjoy historical fiction, too! I've always been interested in the history of Russian Tzars. The lives of Nicholas, Alexandra and their children have especially fascinated me. Such a tragic end for all of them. Welcome to our group!😊
I don't have a Kindle, but was just talking to a neighbor yesterday about that. She just started reading with Kindle and says she really enjoys it! I guess I should look into it. My neighbor told me that there are many books that are only availabe as ebooks...as if I don't have enough books on my TBR list! Unless I live to be about 300 years old, I doubt I'll ever catch up on my reading!😄

I loved that Belle always had a book in hand and I could relate to her character!
45 points! I was never late for work due to reading, nor did I call out to read a book. I just took the book with me and read during my breaks!
I forgot about Elswyth Thane. The books in her Williamsburg series are very good, if you enjoy historical fiction.

I have always thought that the person who ate the first egg was quite brave. Think about that! Rather unappetizing! 🐔🥚🍳😳
I have a collector's edition of the 1896 Fannie Farmer Cookbook. It was the fist time specific measurements were used in recipes. Very interesting read. Fannie suffered a stroke at the age of 16 and developed recipes while she was recovering. She was an amazing woman!

Whoopie pies are sooo good! I really love the ones with peanutbutter filling! There are 8 of them in my fridge right now...make that 7, because now I'm hungry for one!😆

I know all about having bookcases in every room...not to mention the stacks of books on the floor in front of the bookcases. I live in an old Victorian house with large rooms, all full of books! Even my kitchen is full of vintage cookbooks. The original 1950 Betty Crocker cookbook is my favorite. Nobody cared about calories or cholesterol back then!😉
My favorite reading spot is on the sofa with my cats on my lap and a cup of tea by my side. Except for the mosqitoes, I enjoy reading on the porch during the summer.
I still love real books best and don't enjoy ebooks. To me, I need to hold the book and smell the print. There is nothing that can replace a real book. I still have all of my childhood books, and I have not been a child in many looong years!
