114553 Checked and the cost to ship a hardcover of my book to the UK is almost double the price of the book. So, being curious about the differences between the UK and US amazon markets and e-gifting internationally, I did a little more research. As you probably know, those of you in the UK cannot give a kindle e-gift, but I wondered if I could e-gift from here in the US to the UK. Apparently, the answer is no. I also found this article written by an author(in his blog) which was enlightening...

Interesting....guess I won't see many sales in the UK :(

114553 Yes, it is pricey, even here in the states. Sorry. The University presses are small and, I think, are struggling to stay afloat - hence, the higher prices. I'm not sure what the UK price converts to in $$, but here in the US, it's about $10 for the kindle version - which is kind of high, even for an e-book. In the states, there are a number of retailers that sell it for less than Amazon. I didn't specify that I wanted only US reviews, but I think sending the book to the UK might cost me a bit too much. I'll look into it though, in case I don't get any offers to review from US readers.

114553 Hi - My book
Nameless Indignities Unraveling the Mystery of One of Illinois's Most Infamous Crimes by Susan Elmore
should appeal to readers from several genres. If you like history, mystery, historical true crime, genealogy, and law, this book has it. It also delves into a bit of medical mystery involving the victim, Emma Bond. Emma was my great-great aunt and as a young schoolteacher, she was gang-raped at her deserted schoolhouse in rural IL in 1882. There were multiple suspects, a myriad of theories, and so many surprising twists to this real life story. You can read the full summary here on GRs by clicking on link. If this genre appeals to you, I will send a free signed hardcopy to the first two responders in exchange for a review here and on amazon and B & N. Please check out my webpage and my FB page too:
