114553 My Vampire Novella is called Whitby After Dark - Volume 1 by Stella Coulson

Fifteen year old Lenore moves to the Gothic small town of Whitby, Yorkshire and discovers a hidden world of vampires, shifters and demons. Her precognitive visions of death lead her to become the target of a serial killing demon.

''A young man held a young woman in his arms, her head leaned to one side, her eyes empty and still. He was shadowed, but I saw that the figure was kissing the girl's neck. No that wasn't it. As I moved closer I saw what it was. She was unmoving, a statue, while he sucked on her bleeding neck. I was cold with fear, yet I moved closer.. mesmerized.''

114553 Ascension

Aurora lay back as the computer analyzed her cerebral cortex. This was something she’d trained for her entire existence, to transcend the mortal coil. She could hear the rabble outside calling yelling, 'Quit the abuse of technology', 'Stop Playing God.''
The crowd had been picketing the project for years. 'They cannot understand what we are trying to accomplish. They can roar all they like' Aurora smiled to herself. She heard a loud hum and a sharp electric pain shock her entire head. This did not bother her, for it would soon not matter. In 30 seconds, her journey would begin.
