Dear Mercedes,

Imagine a world where the fairy tales, the Greek myths, and the tragic love stories that you grew up reading were real…just not like you would expect them to be. A world where immortal gods and goddesses rule on Mount Olympus, forbidden from mingling with mortals on Earth, even the ones they love, where a beautiful girl with a golden slipper is as likely to be a thief as she is to be a princess, and where magic, as well as those who have it, have been cast out of the mortal realm for centuries…until now.

This is the world that readers will be introduced to in my new and upcoming YA fantasy novel, Fathoms Below. A fairy tale retelling of Cinderella set in modern times, it is set to go on shelves in November 2016 and will appeal to fans of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Jackson Pearce’s Retold Fairy Tales.
