Do you have a book that you wrote years ago sitting in a drawer, unedited and unpublished?

In honor of the first day of Spring, SJS Editorial Services is holding an Authors' Spring Cleaning Event where we'll dust off those old projects, polish up those manuscripts, and ready them for entry, or re-entry, into the world.

It was suggested to me that I post in this section. I am currently embarking on an adventure and I need your help.

I have given up the 9 to 5 routine to be a full-time editor for authors. My rates are fairly reasonable, and I would love to book some regular work. I have been full-time since June and have found reasonable success.

I would like to invite any author who may be in need of an editor to befriend me here in GoodReads or in Facebook - your choice. Give me a chance to edit your books. Hi Everyone,

For the first time in my adult life, I am taking a huge risk. I no longer have a full-time paycheck. I have decided to offer my editorial services full-time instead.

I am at the tail end of a trial run for the last six months and results are still positive, yet inconclusive. I am going to give it some more time.

With that said, do you need an editor or know someone who does?

If so, please feel free to friend me and send a message. I currently have work through the beginning of March. I am seeking clients for beyond that.

My name is Susan Soares and I am new to the group. I am a freelance editor. I have been freelance editing for two and a half years on a part-time basis. As of June 1st, I left the corporate world behind and expanded my editing career to full-time basis. With only six weeks under my belt, I am working on building my client base. It is an exciting and nervous time but I am up for the challenge.
