B.S.’s comments from the Net Work Book Club group.

I am the author of The Emaleen Andarsan Series, a light fantasy series for kids (preteens/teens/middle grade) and hopefully adults that I wrote with the creative input (at times) from my two children, a girl age 12 and a boy age 10.

So far, I have released two books in this series and expect to release 5 in total. The protagonist is an 11-year-old girl that discovers after living a normal life, that she has magic abilities and that there is an evil searching for her. She also learns how imperfect the society of others like her is and how that creates obstacles to fighting the evil. Without giving too much away, she must decipher how to fix the problems in that society in order to lead. Thus, it's one of those stories in which the protagonist must change the world in which she lives. Also, along the way there are positive messages for young readers.
