And, here is the post about my blog and websites:

I am looking for people to help me review it. If you're willing to help an author out, send me message and I'll set you up with a code for Smashwords.

If you are a fellow author looking for exposure (not that kind of exposure), I have a segment on my blog called 20 Questions and I'm willing to discuss guest blogging, too. If interested, drop my a line.

114553 When Edwin Black dreams of a pair of scissors that can cut into the fabric of worlds, four lost souls find themselves stuck in unlikely places: a young entrepreneur, a swimming pool salesman, a collector, and a mad scientist. Their lives intertwine in an adventure extending between worlds. In order to find where they would rather be, they search for the one thing that might take them there... The Checkered Scissors.

---

As the author, there are two things I want to say apart from the above, back-page summary. First, Checkered Scissors is my debut novel, which is an accomplishment I am very proud to share with you. Decades ago, when I decided to write a book, I set out to write a story about time travel. This is not that book. This book explores my other fascination, which are stories in which the characters find a portal from one world to another and deal with the consequences of traveling between worlds.

The other thing is about my style of writing. If you are looking for an easy read story to relax with at the end of the day, this book was written for you. If you look at the world differently, I had you in mind when I wrote this. If you have a quirky sense of humor or enjoy a touch of surrealism, then I encourage you to read this book's pages. It is somewhat difficult to pigeon hole Checkered Scissors into one or two genres, because I wrote a blend of the elements I enjoy both reading and writing.

Whether or not you enjoy this Checkered Scissors, please take a moment to tell me what you think about it. Or, tell others what you think about it by posting a review, good or bad. Thank you and enjoy.

I would love to hear what you think of it. If you enjoy it, I would appreciate a positive review posted here, there, or wherever. If you don't like it, (and I won't be upset if you don't, because I don't expect everyone to love it, and won't stop you from posting a negative review) I would like to start a conversation to better understand what's not enjoyable about it so that I might become a better writer. For any takers, I appreciate in advance your willingness to read Checkered Scissors and for your honest feedback.
Thank you (in advance),
Douglas Schwartz
