Are you going to post a Week 3 check-in? I have a shelf name for my books -- 2021 popsugar reading challenge. Should I also have a shelf briefly describing which book category it is in the challenge? I have a chart made out for myself with the description, title, author, and whether I own the book or not. Thanks!

I'm going to read a Manga/Graphic Novel entitled 'Junji Ito's Cat Diary: Yon & Mu.' It's written by Junji Ito, of course.

My son chose a book from my TBR list at random for me. It's a cozy mystery entitled 'Candy Corn Murder' by Leslie Meier. Of course, I'll read it toward the end of October!

I've chosen 'What Alice Forgot' by Liane Moriarty for my book about forgetting.

I've chosen 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt for my dark academia book.

I have chosen 'Crooked House' by Agatha Christie as my book with something broken on the cover. The cover has a house with broken windows.

I have chosen 'Kindred' by Octavia E. Butlers as my Afrofuturistic book.

Hi. I'm Lisa and I live in east Tennessee. I have been a regular education teacher (K, 4th and 5th), as well as a special education teacher (pre-K-5th). I am married with two adult children. My 23-year-old has spina bifida, and is wheelchair bound. I had to quit teaching to stay home and take care of her. Our whole family reads avidly!
What is your favorite genre of books? Christian nonfiction, mystery, beach reads, southern fiction
Who is one of your favorite authors? Frank Viola
What is one of your all time favorite series? Sue Grafton's alphabet series.
How many books did you read last year, and did you do a challenge? I did the Goodreads Reading Challenge, which I do every year. My goal was 125 books and I read 162!
Why did you join this group and choose this challenge? I belong to a Silent Book Club. The moderator of the Facebook group posted a link to this challenge. I have done a Bingo challenge once or twice in the past.
Did you come over from the 2020 group? No, I just learned of this group.

One of my favorite Christian authors, Mary DeMuth, has a blog. I own her memoir, 'Thin Places,' and have been wanting to read this book!

I plan on reading 'Behind Closed Doors' by B.A. Paris. I own it on my Kindle.

I'm planning on reading the 'Keeper of Lost Things' by Ruth Hogan. I found it on the 2021 PopSugar Reading Challenge List, and I happen to own it on Kindle.

I plan to read the classic, 'Jane Eyre.' It's on my Kindle, and I've been intending on reading it for awhile.

'Mere Christianity' by C.S. Lewis. It's a Christian classic, and I really look forward to reading it this year.

I did not finish 'Walking Home: A Poet's Journey' by Simon Armitage. It was too boring for me, at the time that I read it. I think it was a BookBub recommendation, and I got it fairly cheap. I'm going to give it another try this year!

Mine is 'Teddy Spaghetti' by Dorothea Benton Frank, Victoria Hanna Frank, Renee Andriani (Illustrator). It's a children's picture book, and is only 32 pages.

I get either one or two Kindle books free each month from Amazon Prime, so I'm counting one of them as a free book.
