I'm absolutely loving it at this point. I've been busy but I've managed to make it about 70% through it.

I've made it to chapter 10 and it isn't nearly as disorienting now. Still very strange though lol

I just finished the prologue and first chapter and have found the writing style to be a little weird, especially the disjointed narration that feels halfway between first and third person. Also, as a lifelong competitive martial artist, Ive found the fight descriptions to be a little off. I'm interested in where the story is going, but I hope I can overcome these little annoyances.

If you go to the amazon site and click manage kindle you can add my email to your authorized list and I can send them straight to the app.

The random pick will be on Monday but so many people have consigned Black that I thought maybe we could have an alternate pick for those of us who either read quickly or who can't get into the main book. What do you guys think of that idea?

Yea it's just under 800 pages which is about twice as long as most of the others nominated lol

I liked it. Very out of the box vampire book.

Anna isn't retarded, I was just trying to add the book through code without typing the whole name. She nominates

Like Jim Butcher said a premise doesn't make a story. It'll turn out different enough just because its you writing it.

If you have an android or iOS device you can synch between the pc and your phone pretty easily.

How will everyone be reading primarily? Kindle, Nook, Kobi, PC, Dead-Tree Edition etc?

Sounds interesting Jessica. I have all of the books nominated, ready to go.

If nobody else suggests anything by Monday I'm not even going to roll the dice on these. Looking like Black might be it lol.

I've read some Dekker before, but not that one.

After we get up and running we'll be doing a Deck Rotation style pick but for first pick I think we should all nominate a book and pick it at random. I nominate
so I'll have an excuse to finally read it.
