50x66 I bought Ken Wapnick's "Journey Through the Workbook of A Course in Miracles". He takes every lesson of the workbook and expounds on it/explains it. I didn't get it until about lesson 20, but so far, I've really enjoyed it and appreciated it as an 'explainer' of some of the concepts in the workbook.

While certainly no substitute for a group interaction, for me it works well.

50x66 I don't know if anyone has listened to Gary Renard's podcasts, but I highly recommend them. I went back to the beginning to start them and he does them with Gene Bogart, the voice of Arten in the audio book of DU. It works well because Gary will have a topic to talk about and then they'll take questions that people have emailed in.

One reason it works is that Gary will lay a big concept down and then Gene will almost repeat it back, but put a different way, or as an analogy. So it really helps it sink in.

I believe the earliest ones are from 2006 or 2007. He talks a lot about his impending 3rd book which as we know is finally coming out next month.

Anyway,I listen to these when I garden or on my drive to work and recommend them

50x66 I'm curious who is going at ACIM alone and who has a group they meet with? I can't find any where I live, but then I like studying it on my own.

50x66 Welcome to the Group! I hope we can all help each other 'stay the Course', so to speak. You are encouraged to share books you've read and other resources that have helped you on your journey.

I've made the bookshelf 'open' so feel free to add books. Start discussions. And let's have fun! One of the things I heard recently on a Gary Renard podcast is that following The Course does not mean we have to be serious and give up having fun in life. I think learning sinks in and lasts longer when accompanied by a bit of laughter (read Mary Roach's science books as an example...but I digress).

To sum up, using the closing from the aforementioned podcasts: No matter what the question, forgiveness is the answer.
