In my book, Seeds of Transition, we explored the potential of the vertical urban farm as a solution to our food crisis. As a work of science fiction, we took the existing concept and set it in the year 2058, in a time when climate change and population have created major stress on food production.
There are many critics out there who claim that the concept of vertical farming can not work ! There are also a lot of folks who don't believe that we should be worried about the future of agriculture. I'd like to know what you think, and if you're not sure how you feel about it, ask me a question and I'll share what my research turned up.
