Alex squinted at him. "They want to kill. You. This girl here likely has value to them. Trade. Her, for your freedom."

Dante followed after her, Ace on his back. He knudged Cas' body with his toe, then pulled a lever. Everything snapped in place. Multiple gates snapped over the deck, and a tarp descended down, shrouding them in dark. "Aenia is more... advanced." He explained.

Alex crossed his arms. "So.... you have no choice in the matter is what you're saying." He glared at the girl. "Use her as bait."

Dante poured her forward, and there they were. And possibly, the ladder that duke, Christopher, and Danny had built as children was there. He nodded at it. "Up you go."

It took his love addled brain a minute, but Alex waddled into the kitchen, tearing apart a bun. He zeroed in on Jules. "What's the problem?"

..."There is already a demon of wrath :)

Alex stumbled in and slammed the door shut. "It's
snowing." He called by way of introduction. He slipped his boots off, hung his coat up, and walked into the main space. Signs of his living here were everywhere, from his Venandi jacket on the floor, to the raging fire in the chimney. "Love?" Alex yelled. "Where are you?"

Alex rolled his eyes. Hard. "I am going to go get some buns. I will meet you, at home." He kissed Jules cheek, and began to walk away.

Alex's mouth opened, then closed. He turned towards Jules. "The Cathadral has stuff set up for runaways, orphans, and," He looked at the girl. "...ex-cult members. We could take her there."

Alex's eyes narrowed. "Left where?"

Alex stared at the little girl. "THAT'S what your mother gave you to wear?" He looked around. "It is winter. In Badeux. It is colder than Hell itself." It had stopped snowing, but Alexius stood by his point. His nose was already red.

Dante held his hand out, as if to ward her off. "Its not going to kill you."

Dante coughed and looked at her. As soon as he saw her face, he started laughing again. "The most powerful witch I know is afraid of heights."

He clasped a hand over his mouth. "Oh my SaTaN." Dante snorted. He placed his hands on his knees, and wheezed. "You... you..." He laughed even harder.

Danny looked back at her. "Are you scared?" He called. "Caspian Lemendola is scared of a tree."
