Lock away my demons, demons

𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢｜Cien has been taught to be a very quiet girl. Girls were supposed to be seen, and not heard. The other girls would complain about it. Cien, though, liked to have the excuse of being quiet, as it gave her the ability (and practice) to sneak up on people. Her friends would say, “You hear her before you see her. Or you just don’t see her.” Of course, if she had friends, they would say that. Unlike the other girls at her boarding school, Cien isn’t married yet. She has decided to stay clear of the burden of marriage, and doesn’t want to be tied to one particular person. Cien’s not even sure she likes men. Cien can be a bit extreme, as well. She doesn’t forgive people, and will hold grudges forever until she takes care of it. She may seem sweet and modest at first, but she’s deadly. If you hurt her, she won’t hesitate to locate where you live and make you want to die.

She usually went to the servants quarters, for they had vital information. But mostly, they would say things about her. Not good things, but bad. [as gasps ensued]” Once, when she was eavesdropping in the servants quarter, she heard hushed conversations of a lost prince. Soon after, she tried investigating by going to the library, but her Mother always stopped her, and would scold her, telling her, “The things you seek are not for you to find, or for any girl to find.” The way she said the word ‘girl’ would make her want to curl up on the floor and die. But she didn’t. She got stronger from the hate she received. She learned to thicken her skin. Not to say that there weren’t days that she wanted to disappear forever. But she learned how to fight; One of the guards from the palace taught her how to fight in exchange for her body one night a week.
