Thanks for doing this!

Thanks, David, I too hope it takes off.
I joined Reddit some years ago and haven't done much on there. I'd like to advertise my books on your group but I can't see how - doh! From your profile, I can see you're busy, so if anyone else can tell me how they did it, please let me know!
If I spent an hour or so, I might work it out, or I might not... sigh.

Thank you, James.

Thanks, James.

Wow! That's a good deal. The books I've read of yours are great!

Thank you for speaking up for us!

Thank you, James.
Something called Zlibrary has pirated mine but I decided to let it go for the reasons kindlepreneur suggests.
Careful if you try to find their site as
one Zlibrary site has been taken down (or something similar) and it looks dodgy.

Unfortunately, Ross, as far as I know, titles cannot be copyrighted. As for lock, stock and barrel stealing of a plot, well you might be on stronger ground there. I expect other, more knowledgeable authors will be able to give you more info on this.

The quotation that hangs in my heart is:
"When you go home
Tell them of us and say
For your tomorrow
We gave our today."
John Maxwell Edmonds, a poet whom few remember but we never forget his words - an inspirational thought for all writers perhaps?

Here in the UK we have 'Remembrance Day' on 11/11 and I have always found it tugs at the heart because of all that veterans have endured for us yet inspires me with their courage.

Congratulations! Hope you get lots more interest.
Pullitzer prize - $75 'handling fee'. I thought... oh well I wouldn't be entering anyway!

Thanks for this. Yes, I'd like this book to be considered for the Winter Reading Options:
One Dark NightIt's a historical romantic thriller mystery (a reviewer's description).

Very thoughtful of you, James.

Mine are mostly self-published, interspersed with trad pubs. However, I manage only a very few books most of the year. I'm hoping that when I publish my work-in-progress, I'll have time to read, and I shall choose some from here.

Something like a tiger or lion, a nice big pussy cat, friendly, of course.
I do already talk to my pet seagull. Steve Seagull visits for breakfast, lunch and supper and we chat. He sits on my balcony rail for hours on end just watching me go about my usual routine. Visitors are fascinated by our chats. I talk, he listens! But he sometimes wobbles his throat and opens his beak without any sound that I can hear. I count that as replying...

Happy holidays to all in the US.

I'm afraid I have a couple of months to wait until the holiday arrives. But I'll look around for a book to buy from this group sooner than that! Bit overloaded at the moment - laptop died, I bought another, transferred stuff - not all successful, old laptop resurrected itself - how did it do that? Hours spent... well I guess you all know what it's like. Now I am lucky enough to have two personal appearances to prepare for. Then my wip (at beta read stage) has to be published (have you all fallen asleep yet?). But then I shall love to choose a book from the SPOC, so don't give up on me. Might manage more than one!

No, Joanie, Kindle Unlimited wouldn't suit me as I have very little time to read - I'm looking forward to going on holiday when I'll take my Kindle and catch up.
I hope the author is alerted to the fact that UK readers won't pay £48 for a book!
