She smiled, watching him swim back to her and biting into her lip as she crossed her arms over her breasts, shaking her head as she smiled.

"Wait," he called, grabbing her roughly by the waist and burying his head in her neck. "I didn't mean it"

She yelped then smiled, watching him. She kissed his nose and leaned back as she giggled playfully like a schoolgirl.

"And not worth my time," he whispered, looking bothered as he ran both hands through his hair and down his neck.

She sighed, a shudder running through her body as she closed her eyes. In that moment, it didn't matter that he hadn't said he loved her. It didn't matter they might die any moment. In that moment, they were infinite, and she moaned slightly at the pure effect his words had on her the weightlessness of the pool making it seem like a dream.

"You beat me up and rattle my brain and make me cry." she sighed, her thumb stroking his cheek. "Yet I love you and need you. You bring me joy and excitement. I feel...important with you"

He dropped her, rolling his eyes. "You're crazy!"

"Mmhmm?" she asked, a bit of a smile on her lips as she tilted her face up to his.

"Hey! Sadie!" he demanded, grabbing her by the collar and lifting her off her feet to face him.

She nodded, her head buried in his neck as she nodded. "Alright Cheshire" she agreed, her hands falling as she relaxed. She needed him. She had learned to live alone. But now that she had him back she couldn't let go.

She shook her head, holding onto his hand as she felt tears run down her cheek. "No. No! And you can't say that- when- and I can't lose you!" she sobbed, her breath raspy.

"But I do," she whispered, lowering her head. "I'm not as powerful as you but I don't want you out there without me," she pleaded, looking up at him.

"What about you?" she whispered, the lights in the pool reflecting and shimmering off her worried face as she bit her red lip, holding onto him by his powerful arms so she floated.

"Where?" She whispered as her hands trailed easily down his chest. She surely was innocent and naive compared to him, though it was how she was.

She nodded slowly, rubbing his neck as she kissed his forehead. "Go on"

He ran into her and stumbled, growling. "What the h***?"

She sighed and nodded looking at him. "We'll I'm not human you know. I'm made of the second strongest metal ever" she said, not really meaning to sound rude as she looked up at him.

He felt something was off and followed the path of the wreckage on foot, calling her name.

"Nothing" she whispered, laying her head on his shoulder.

"Oh" she nodded, feeling her heart drop as she tried to hide the pain.
