Hi, I'm Mariam and I'm a magazine editor in Chicago. I haven't had the chance to fangirl like this in a long time, especially as I think I'm a bit older than most TMI fans (at least that's how the marketing makes me feel!). I'm excited to be part of a group where I can fangirl openly. :)

Hi everyone,

I just got into TMI this week and am making my way through CoG. I'm pretty sure I've become obnoxious to all my friends about it, so I thought I'd join this group so I had somewhere to fangirl.

I have a question about CoG: When Sebastian is trying to get Clary to come with him to rescue Simon, he grabs her hand and it hurts. She says she feels like she's been burned but there was no mark there. Is this something important, will it be explained later? Not fishing for spoilers, but I wondered if it was just something I was focused on that didn't matter.
