1084870 As I fall more into my writing and social media connecting in Facebook to grow my connections, I also find that my time to read is less and less. But I used to read a lot.

I was wondering if you have a specific time to read. Or if you just read whenever you can. What are your reading habits...??

1084870 Guys, I am seeking 5 book reviews for my next book, "LEAVING THE HERD. The Revolution Begins."

I am a non-fiction author. I write about spirituality, psychology, enlightenment, inspiration, motivation and how to better your understanding of yourself, people, and life.

This one will be my second book, and it goes in deep into the systems in society. political. Religious. Academic. Governments. It delves deep into the psychology of the masses and how it affects reality for us. It brings a spiritual view, but also a scientific view of the human experience.

This work talks about childhood. About the growing mind. Parenting. The road to higher self-esteem. And many other topics that expand the mind into enlightenment. I seek to awaken us. Not to judge. I believe the only way to do it is by being direct and truthful about ourselves.

Whoever can help me and commit to read the file manuscript by the last day of May or before, and then give me their honest opinion, fill out this form please. Thanks!

1084870 Can books become an obsession..?? I mean, to get lost in a book. A really good book. Fiction. Non-fiction. The magical words that connect with you and touch your heart. Perhaps that bring you some comfort in these troubled times. Can this become an escape from reality...??

Oh, today someone that I don't even know sent me this email: "I am a 23 year old student of English literature. Right now I am on a break from college so I am accepting book review requests. I read all genres. If you want to get your book reviews please contact me."

I don't know what this is. Is this to actually help me...?? To ask for money?? Should I email back?? What do you think??

I think there are readers for everything out there. And what you have written has a depth that most books in your category may not offer. I think persistence and confidence in your work is key.

Sometimes readers need time and to be told what your book could give them. If a book has the capacity to expand the mind of the reader and at some level connect to something deep inside that reader, then it is something worth and special. It is an enlightening point of view. Let's help readers see it!

That seems like a very emotional book, and more moving than anything else. I love those books that bring the average human experience to you, so you may expand your mind like that. Something that could happen to anybody, you know. Something we all go through. Pressure.

Thank you very much for your comment. I do believe that any book has the responsibility to connect at some level with people. We are all going through something, right...??

That is really enlightening. Thanks very much for taking the time to write that.

As a beginner is hard. But I carry confidence. And, like you said, reviews are necessary. Who doesn't like book reviews of one's own work...??

So I'm just going to keep making connections, patiently, and with faith. I'll work hard. It's tough, but persistence is key. Keep knocking on doors. Thanks!

Yes, one must lead. Lead yourself. Lead others. Become large by following large dreams!

1084870 I have found that books can really expand your mind, make you dream, even motivate you to go after what before seemed impossible. The words of an author can really transfer energy through emotional connection with the reader.

I am curious to know what inspires you. What books transport you to a dreamland...?? Or what literary work, or works, motivate you and get the best out of you??

Life is about this. About inspiring yourself to reach for more, to dream and go after what you truly desire. To shed your fears. To help you grow up. Perhaps mature as well. Share with us books that connect with you.

Are you an author...?? Are you a reader?? What hobbies do you have?? Why did you join Goodreads...?? Why were you born?? Have you found your purpose in life?? Share whatever you like. Let yourself be known, ladies and gents.

1084870 Hi, welcome.

Growing up I used to love Don Quixote. One can really expand one's mind with that book. What a great idea Cervantes had!

My name is Asa. I just self-published my first book, "I always loved you. Creatures of eternal love." A spiritual/psychological self-help book aimed to enlighten people about the mental dimensions of love. True love outside the mind. The nihilistic mind. And it goes deeper into the human experience.

1084870 In my personal approach as a nonfiction writer, I take very seriously to emotionally connect with my community of followers. I think that connection, to know the likes and dislikes of your people (your possible readers) is really important. How do you guys see this...??

What makes us human creatures is that empathy and deep connection, call it spiritual or emotional or whatever you like; but, to be honest, I like to know that I am standing out from the crowd of writers and authors out there. Maybe to know that I can bring something unique in my persona through my writing.

Share your experience. Is this important for you...?? I know that we share different views and different experiences. And I believe is crucial to expand your mind to know other people's opinions on this subject. We are all students of the craft, right...??

Nice meeting you Ahmad! That's my aim with this group. I am new to this website too actually. I am trying to make friends and connect with like-minded individuals like yourself.

I am a new self-published author. Non-fiction. Self-help. Spiritual. Psychology. My purpose is to enlighten others, specially in these times. Join my Facebook public page, where we discuss daily life. I share daily inspiration and thought-provoking posts: https://www.facebook.com/AsaRodriguez35/

1084870 One thing I do is meditation. Taking time for yourself, having a peaceful mind, recharging from the stressful day is something miraculous as a practice every day. And what about avoiding stressful people, TV shows, and situations...?? I find for me that is a must. My self-love. Taking care of myself comes before the rest. Just things to really have in mind, Jessalyn.

And invite friends to this group. Let's expand these discussions!
