I read The Giver, and liked many aspects of it, but found the ending weak. It made me hesitate to read more.

But with your glowing recommendation, I might have to rethink it.

I vote for True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle--haven't read it, but like Avi.

I just joined, and I find Divergent interesting and I haven't read it.
I like fantasy, but I am a little tired of the vampire scene. I don't mind having them within the fantasy, just tired of them starring in it.
Divergent appeals because it offers a different society, although it may be a little copy of The Hunger Games, (which I enjoyed immensely) and would be willing to read again.

I haven't hung out on Goodreads all that much, so don't prioritize my interest. :P

Hi, I'm Lyn Davis, and I started reading middle grade and YA books to my kids and found I enjoyed them...so I stayed with them--the books, that is. My boys are grown up.
