I'd like to close this Q&A with the blurb for my next book, Inner Compass, which will be out by the end of July.
INNER COMPASS BACK COVER
Someone is shooting poachers in Tennessee, and Canadian journalist Alexis Jule wants to investigate. So she wangles an assignment to show up before hunting season starts, hoping to get her bearings and talk to some of the locals. Her first interview is with a female hermit. But Faye Carson turns out to be like no hermit Alex could have imagined. She is also a prime suspect in the murders.
Thanks again!

There won't be a sequel to GTE. That book was my farewell to the racetrack. Too much money involved and too little regard for the horses' welfare. But, like your work, anything I write will just naturally feature an animal or two.
The next book centers on a series of poacher murders.
Thanks for dropping in!

At any rate, I really liked GTE. Any plans for a sequel or more horse related books?

That Cocktail Hour interview was fun. My only regret is that I didn't know any better than to use the tinny condenser mic integrated into my laptop. Lesson learned, though, and I bought a nice headset with microphone for the next interview with AWOP Radio.
Have you listened to Cheri and Andy's Cocktail Hour podcast of the post-GCLS call-in messages? I heard it this morning, and it's a hoot! Highly recommended listening.

I do. And, happy writing!

Well, there's my love for women, which I'm pretty confident shines through on each page, even with respect to Sassy Rainier, and even though she's about as evil a human as I could cook up. With Sassy, I think (I hope) you can always see the pathos and vulnerability behind even her most sinister actions.
And, aside from the horses, having worked on the racetrack gave me insight into immigration issues, brought me up close to the details that helped bring Brie's heartbreaking past into sharp focus.
