There are a whole lot of ACM books that seem freely available now:- Concurrency: the Works of Leslie Lamport: https://dl.acm.org/doi/book/10.1145/3...
- Making Databases Work: the Pragmatic Wisdom of Michael Stonebraker: https://dl.acm.org/doi/book/10.1145/3...
This thread is for our feedback and comments about Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann. Please, see our guidelines if you have questions about the book selection.
Let's start this group with some guidelines. The idea is to read a book related to Data Engineering every two months. That will give us plenty of time to read it but, of course, it's optional. The book will be selected based on the comments in this thread and votes on our official list. Please, add/vote your favourite books to the list.
It will be also updated in our bookshelf and we'll open a thread in the forum to comment the book and provide feedback about it.
We'll start with Designing Data-Intensive Applications because it's a classic. Most of us already have read this book and we really recommended it if you don't.
If you have any idea/comment or book you would like to be included, please, post it here!
