1070870 Hello everyone!!

It's this time again to vote for the book of the month!! First I'd like to start by mentioning that none of the books in the spreadsheet below are eligible to be nominated (because we have read them as a group already)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

The genre for April is Contemporary!!

Here some rules you need to follow while nominating a book:
~Each person can nominate up to two books.
~Book must be available both as a physical copy and as an ebook.
~You can only nominate books that are part of the series if it's the first book in that series.
~You may choose to second someone else's nomination, but it will count as one of your two votes.
~You cannot nominate a book which has previously been a group read.

This thread will close in March 10th where then the top 10 voted for books will be compiled into a final poll which will determine the group read for April

1070870 This month we will be reading Mind Secrets, the first book in the Perceivers Series by Jane Killick.
Please feel free to comment on your updates and thoughts below!

"Teenagers with mind powers fight for the right to survive in the thrilling first novel of the Perceivers series.

Waking up without his memories and hunted by Agent Cooper, Michael finds sanctuary with a group of perceivers: telepaths who sense the thoughts and emotions of others. Drawn into their battle to stay free of the cure which threatens to strip them of their powers, he searches for the person who stole his past. As the tension between perceivers and norms erupts into violence, Michael pieces together the shocking truth behind the origin of their power. To save his friends from destruction, he must face Cooper and confront the painful revelations of his forgotten secrets."

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

1070870 Hello everyone! It is that time again to pick our read of the next month! The theme for March is Sci-fi ! This process will work a bit differently for those who had joined on discord, so let me explain for everyone. Also make sure to join your discord if you want a png with our updates

You will be allowed to vote for two (or less) individual books, and second, a book another member has voted for. Of course, you aren't obligated to do all three;
You can vote for one or two books
You can second a book someone has suggested
You may both vote for one or two books and second a book someone has voted for

Again, you can vote however you please. I will record the books that have been voted for in this message, so we have them at one place and you can choose if you like and want to second one. You can second a book that already has more than one votes. To clarify, we will be putting the 10 books with the most votes on the poll for the final decision, so let's try to upvote books we like and single them out please :)
Votes will be closing in February 15th

As for the book that you will be suggesting, let's try to stick to either stand-alone or first books in a series. In the future, if we have read the first book we may choose to read the sequel, but for now, we're at this :)

Books that have been voted for:

~The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet {3 votes}
~Mind Secrets {3 votes}
~Starfish {2 votes}
~Leviathan Wakes {2 votes}
~Kindred {2 vote}
~Nefertiti's Heart {1 vote}
~Ender's Game {1 vote}

1070870 We're all a small community, and I'd love to get to meet all of you! Let me start then!

My name is Elena and I love reading books! I am still in high school so my free time is limited, but that doesn't stop me from reading books whenever I get the chance to! I haven't read many diverse genres already, but I'd love to explore more literature!

1070870 Hello!! So I know this is kind of rash, but we had voted for a book for February before branching out to a Goodreads club! ~yesh, I'm sorry, next month we'll vote here~
Anyway, the book we are reading in February is "All the Bright Places" by Jennifer Niven! Feel free to discuss it openly here!
(Please ear with me while I figure out how moderating a club works)
