@Krishna : Best of luck for your boards too! :)

Hope you all are reading fantastic books and are geared up for Christmas and the New Year festivities! I'm sure you all must be glad of all the books you've read this entire year and awaiting the new year to arrive quickly with an entirely new set of books:)
Back to business, I really need to speak to you all about some serious things about the group. Firstly, I have to tell you that three months, viz., January, February and March will be a kind of dormant period of the group. By dormancy, I don't mean the entire group's dormancy, but only mine. I don't know if many of you know, but my Board exams are due March and there's no way I'll be able to do much for the group. I'll come online, sure, but the regular activities of the group, like, BOTM, Buddy Reads, Challenges, Read 2 Review will be off. However, you all are more than welcome to continue with all the discussions you have in the group. In fact, I'm kinda entrusting you guys with the task of keeping the group alive while I'm not that active. I will come online once in a while to check on all the discussions but I can't carry out the regular activities of the group.
I guess you all are wondering why I'm not appointing a new moderator for the group. This is just because I want to run this group my way. Call me selfish but I don't want to come online after three months and find the group has turned into an entirely new thing. I don't want to be diplomatic and go along with what others say. And my biggest fear is that I keep a moderator and go off for three months or so, and then come online and see something completely different here.
Well, this was all about the 'dormancy' and I'll inform you more about this later, maybe at the end of December.
Now, for something which is much more important for the group. It has come to my notice that since the past few weeks, a lot of things are going wrong in the group. Discussions made in the wrong folders, comments on the wrong threads, repeated discussions, making unnecessary threads. I sincerely request all members to go through the 'General Guide' of the group once before making any new threads.
Also, please make sure that you check the folders before making new threads. This may look like a normal request but this is really getting on my nerves. Everywhere I see irrelevant comments, repeated discussions, I mean stop it people! Go through the folder before making new threads, look at the topic once before posting, make sure that what you're posting or the thread you're making is allowed in the group or not.
For eg, I see few members who make threads to say 'hi' to the group, or to introduce themselves to the group. No doubt, I delete such threads, but my question is : what is the damned need? Why create such folders when there is a clear 'Introduce Yourselves' thread in the group? You may do all such stuff in other groups but here - please don't. There are a few other things similar to this but just keep this is mind that you go by the rules of the group.
Now.
FOR ALL AUTHORS, PUBLISHERS, ADVERTISERS ETC. ETC.
My biggest problem is with you guys. I don't see why you guys have to be SO damn greedy for reviews that you have to go around posting your work in every damned thread! Seriously people, this is GOODreads, not BEGreads. If you've written a book, people will read it and if it's good, people will review it. Why do you have to go around advertising your work everywhere? I mean, for god's sake, I see authors who try to advertise their works even in the Introduction thread! Why so desperate man? Heights of irritation, really.
We have a very good Read and Review program in the group - if you really want reviews, make use of it! Use the Giveaways and Advertisement folder! But please, refrain from posting irrelevant comments about your books and in any other folder/thread. From now on, if I see another thread/comment regarding advertisement in any folder other than the 'Read 2 Review' and 'Giveaways and Advertisement' folder, that thing is going to be deleted right then.
I'm sorry if I sound rude but running the group is not my responsibility alone, it it? It is also the duty of the members to cooperate with the mod. And seriously, if you really are so desperate for advertising your books, do it in some other group. Not here.
Also, to all authors, please stop messaging me to advertise your books! You seriously have no idea how annoying it is to open your message box and see the messages of freaking authors who are begging me to 'spread the word' about their books in the group. I mean seriously, grow up.
On a more polite note, please make sure that you adhere to the rules of the group and don't make things so damn difficult.
Regards,
Ruchi

Summary : Not wasting a second, the moving truck with its crew packed up all her belongings, and she finally hit the road away from hell, once and for all.
At least that was her plan.
Years later; in a new town, with a new job, and a wonderful hot contractor as a husband, an email shakes up the happy life she has manage to rebuild for herself. A life far away from denigrating accusations, cruel demands, and sexual domination.
Now her ex Brian has found her, and won't accept anything less than for her to come back home.
She needs to come back to him. Come home.
She belongs to him. And him only.
An anonymous package arrives at their door on a Friday afternoon and the sense of being continuously watched interrupts Danielle and Andy's everyday life.
The happily married couple begin to realize who is behind it all, even though seven whole years have gone since that moving truck sped down the gravel road and far, far away. Leaving all trace of Danielle's existence in Brian's life.
The night of the restaurant opening downtown will forever be etched in their memory.
That was the night they came across Brian inside their dining room. Just waiting for the right time to reappear in Danielle's life.
The night when he unleashed his pent up rage and sexual dominance upon her once again.
That was the night he took her naked on the table nominating Andy to watch their sexual encounter. All of it. Proving every single inch of her body still belonged to him.
There are consequences to aggravating him, and since Danielle is not responding to his demands, he will come back for more.
With Brian's unstable personality still on the lose the questions remain:
Are they going to stay at their newly renovated house in the south now that he has found her and fight him on their grounds when he returns, or try to outrun this predator once more leaving a tight-knit family and everything they have built together behind?
The waiting game has started.
When will he be back? What does he plan to do this time?
Somehow this nightmare must end, even if it means that someone will get hurt again.
Seriously hurt.
The questions is just, who is it going to be this time?
Beast of Venery is a semi-autobiographical romantic thriller that follows Danielle fleeing an abusive and domineering ex-boyfriend. With the help and support from her new husband and surrounding family she fights his attempts to contact her and touch her in any way possible to get her back into her life.
