You should definitely come to our next in-person meeting - we'll be in the Moose Room on Tuesday, February 11th at 5:30! (Late arrivals are fine - we usually finish up around 7pm) Hope to see you there!

Reading can provide a mirror that reflects your own culture and a window that offers you a view into someone else’s experience. Literary Bridges is a book club that strives to increase respect, empathy, and understanding in Anchorage. Books are chosen to reflect Anchorage’s diverse community and will vary in content and genre. All ages are welcome. Discussions will be facilitated by Bridge Builders of Anchorage.
Bridge Builders of Anchorage’s mission is the promotion and celebration of harmony and respect among all cultures in order to make Anchorage, Alaska the first city without prejudice.

Do you enjoy reading and sharing with others? Join us for the Loussac Book club to discuss a new book each month. All ages are welcome and titles vary based on genre and content.

Are you a romance reader looking for a place to talk about books you love to read? Join us for lively discussions, and get recommendations from a librarian knowledgeable in the genre. We don’t choose a particular title each month—who wants to be that limited?—but select a subgenre (historical, paranormal, romantic suspense) or topic (food, holidays) instead.
At the beginning of each meeting, we’ll spend a few minutes talking about any off-topic romances we’ve been reading. Each month, a list of the books and authors discussed will be provided to attendees, and a list of suggested titles for the next month’s topic will be handed out. As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, contact Nancy Clark at nancy.clark@anchorageak.gov or 907-343-1533.

I Read What I Want Book Club is for anyone that wants to talk about books, but doesn’t want to be told what to read. Members read whatever they want, and give their reviews to the group on the second Tuesday of the month at Loussac Library - 5:30-7pm in the Moose Room.
