As I`m participating in Dickens vs Tolstoy debate, I plan to read quite a lot of their works, including War and Peace, Anna Karenina and The Pickwick Papers. Also I really want to read Brothers Karamazov and The Idiot by Dostoevsky and Cat`s eye by Margaret Atwood.
I`ve started War and Peace, after I`ll have finished the first tome, I`m going to read Great Expectations
Hi, I`m Julia, a high school student from Russia. I joined this community last year, but then I kind of forgot about it so I haven`t participated in any events. My goal this year is to be active here and take part in at least one buddy read.
Hello everyone! I'm Julia, I'm from Russia, Barnaul. I've started reading classics last year, but my favourite classics - Jane Eyre- I've read when I was 11 y.o. and I usually reread it once a year. My favourite classics list is very small. I like Pride and Prejudice, the Wuthering Heights, Anne of Green Gables and Eugene Onegin. This year I want to read more classics, and my goal is not only read them but read them in English as I find that reading classics enlarges my English vocabulary very much. But there are some Russian classics on my list which I want to read in Russian. I'm glad I've found Lucy's channel in the beginning of the year so I can take part in this challenge!
I want to read one classics per month, maybe more in the summer. Basically in the summer I`m going to read my school`s list of books, and in another seasons I`d like to read the books which I myself want to read. So my goals are:-Crime and Punishment (in Russian)
- Fathers and Sons by Turgenev (in Russian)
- War and Peace ( in Russian)
- The Cherry Orchard by Chekhov ( in Russian)
- Oblomov by Goncharov (in Russian)
- Three Deaths by Tolstoy (in Russian)
- The Great Gatsby
-Good wives
-Shirley
-The Picture of Dorian Gray
- Les Miserables
- Carmen
- Northanger Abbey
