well, if it helps try reading funny boy. its absolutely heart wrenching and is shri lankan in setting. you would love it. you'll also learn about a new culture and politics. it is also LGBTQ+ , though definitely not romantic. give it a read and let me know!

I'm updating my reading list and i suddenly seem to forget all the books i wanted to read. please suggest me some good classics, preferably gothic. it can also be your country's classic or a less heard about book. <3
