1035419 @Darina, I got the books published by Hachette Childrens Books. The book I'm currently reading is published by Sourcebooks but my local online bookstores didn't have the Sourcebooks version available. I have too many books at home tbr as well but I couldn't help myself.

1035419 Although I haven't finished it yet I have already purchased the next two books. Amongst my Facebook friends I was told this was the soap opera of their teenage years lol.

1035419 I'm up to chapter 29. Love this book. Aiming to finish tomorrow. Anne makes me laugh at the shenanigans she gets herself into. I also love the way she sees things.

@Darina the list of quotes are great! Thanks for sharing them :)

1035419 @Darina, you are now ahead of me :)
My first time reading it and I am loving it also. I got side tracked today cooking out of the Anne Of Green Gables Cookbook written LM Montgomery's granddaughter. I made some raspberry tarts and they were delicious.

1035419 I read The Beauty and the Beast, The Call of the Wild and the modern day classic The Princess Bride. I enjoyed all of them. Each was very different.

1035419 I started by reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll, then read some poetry, Songs of Innocence and of Experience by William Blake. Now I'm in the middle of reading The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie.

1035419 Being new to classics my goal is to start slowly and read one classic a month, with a mix of children's, vintage and modern. I also thought it would be fun to read something that relates to the classic in the same month, like the Anne Of Green Gables Cookbook by her granddaughter or history on the author or book or a retelling.

1035419 @slowssonne - My Brilliant Career by Miles Franklin and Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay for Australia. We studied these in school.

1035419 Hi everyone!!! My name is Linda and I'm from Sydney, Australia.

I have only read one classic so far. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I really want to read more classics so finding this reading challenge is perfect.

My goal is to read one classic a month. I would like to read Jane Eyre, The Secret Garden (I bought the Polish version for my mum), Anne Of Green Gables (recommended by friends that love this book) and maybe Anna Karenina.
