Hi,
I would like to entertain the group with The Harlem Story, which is often described by readers as a contemporary, African-American Les Miserable. Originally written as an integrated, musical screenplay, this romantic tale incorporates R&B, gospel, and Hip Hop song lyrics. It is an epic action/adventure about gifted singers raised in the church, aspiring to sing professionally. The first chapter is my James Baldwin-like autobiography about my struggles with family and writing while living in Harlem since the 1960s.
