"Spiritual power gives you the insight needed to transcend negative experiences," (pg 11)
One of my areas of concern is transcending negative experiences and judgments. How has this worked for others?

Speaking to my heart - the idea that I need to be aware of how I am using what I have to express my spiritual authenticity.

"Waking up to what you are as a spiritual being" - what a great way to start. You cannot help but be eager to read more.

I would love to see this book with an ongoing discussion that lasts for ten months or a year.

I am confused as to how this can be a book discussion book when Robert tells us to only read once section and practice it for a month. How do we have a discussion if we are not to read ahead? Does Robert have an approach to this?

There is always hope. Glad to have you sharing the reading. I am still concentrating on radical self-acceptance. Hope you find it as empowering as I do. It is one possible step to finding the courage you desire. The hard part for me is looking for and recognizing the sensations. Feelinga are a little easier. I recognize the thoughts, so stepping back and witnessing is the next hard part. I have heard it before. I know it is right. But it is so easy to get tangled up and defensive. "Relax. let go, release and surrender: is part of a chant that Karen Drucker does and is so appropriate here.

I got the book last night and am very impresses with radical self-acceptance. I could probably stay right there for three months. What a great practice. It will take a lot of work and I am game. I love it. Would love to hear what others are experiencing as they practice.

I do not have the book yet. Can you list the ten spiritual practices?

Have not yet received it, but book three came in today.

Love it. Great Plan. So, what steps are you taking now? Have you tried working in a consignment shop to learn first hand some of the problems you are likely to run into? I want to run a bookstore, so I went to work for Borders for about 5 years. Very valuable.
Richard wrote: "My dream seems to be the path I was thrown into, which is to help guide people to discovering their own dreams. I love working with people and wish I would have started younger but I know that toda..."How do you propose doing this? Is this coaching one on one or group work or ...? How will you inspire people to figure out what their dreams are and reveal them to you?

My dream is to lead poetry and other writing weekend retreats in WV. I have a home there conducive to this type of activity. I am working the plan of how this will happen. I have already attempted two and am learning. I was once offered a similar opportunity long ago and was impressed with what it gave me. I want to pass the opportunity along to get started on a project and see it through.

Link takes me to general website. Cannot find link to the webcast for Wednesday

Thank-you. I plan to log on.

Where is everybody?

"Retirement should be refire-ment." that is certainly my intention and plan, being put into place as we speak.

Author says # of people over 100 has doubled every decade since the 70's, so I looked it up. There were 53,364 over 100 in 2010. I had no idea there were so many. Isn't that marvelous?

"My goal every day is to stretch my horizons." I put this in my journal and have started intending it and recording responses in the evening.

Another quote I really like - "Learn to name, visualize, deserve, expect and act on your God-planted greatest desires."
Seems like we could copy out some of the best quotes on little strips of paper, put them in a jar and draw one out whenever we need a bit of encouragement. What do you think?
