Day 73 (6 new)
Sep 26, 2009 11:39AM

10003 These are stories that are always less than 75 words. Today's topic is Red.

You may write your story to be a really short self story, personal mystery or experience. It can be anything
Sep 24, 2009 06:06PM

10003 right, i thought as much, but the story is really easy to understand, and as for a plot, it looks like you could save this story to write it into a bigger story later some time after this contest
Day 72 (6 new)

10003 The bookshelf, to answer an inquirer, fills up with books. As a group the members may fill the bookshelf up with their reads. OR group members may add their book choices the members are required to read later. All of this depends on the group style and it's creators plus the members. It could be required to read some of the books on the shelf to be a member in a group. In others it's just to share common interests. Did this helped?

10003 Instructions:

Please do not use a story previously used on goodreads. After the week's contest, you are welcome to put it on your profile writings, but please refrain from using stories you have already put on there.

You have until Saturday afternoon to post a story on here. Please post it directly onto this topic, rather than posting a link. Also, please do not discuss stories on here. You must go to Weekly Short Story Contest Discussion for that. This will avoid any clutter and confusion, so that people can simply come on here and read the story, without having to read comments on the story.

This week's Topic is Dwarf. If anyone has any objections to this topic, please go to the Objections post. The rules are pretty loose. You could write about pretty much anything. Just have the word in the story.

Weekly stories must be at least 500 words long to 2,500 words long. (if the whole story won't fit in one post, divide it into two)

Good luck!

Arthur [acting for Clare:]

P.S. PLEASE say if you would like to have your story on Short Story Galore, if you win. This way it wouldn't take me ages to get your consent afterwards. This includes adding a link to your stories. If you want to have your story on the Short Story Galore, but not the link, just say so.

10003 You have until Sunday afternoon to post a poem on here before the Topic changes. Please post it directly onto this topic, rather than posting a link. You're welcome to discuss poems on here also.

This week's Topic is Seagull. If anyone has any objections to this topic, please go to the Poetry Topic Objections post.

Poems can be as long and short as you want them to be. This is not a contest, it's just for fun and to show off our own poetry.

10003 **SORRY**TOPIC CLOSED**THIS IS THE**THE END**OF THE WEEK**

Sorry Topic closed, and no one entered a story either, some got to assume we're just going to just move on to new contests. And we will. Monday there's a new topic to post your stories. And there is still time to post under the poetry topics and the picture writing contests, hopefully see everyone there.
Day 71 (5 new)
Sep 18, 2009 06:22PM

10003 The cap on my soda bottle broke off when I dropped it on the floor. I quickly dashed to the kitchen to grab a mop. It was soaked because mom wiped up the back porch after it rained. It didn’t feel so wet so I just get wiping while watching the T.V. until I looked down. All the water. So I quickly ran again back to the kitchen to grab a dish towel from the drawers. I heard someone fall in the living room. I heard a groan as I came in to see my always busy father getting up to his feet because he slipped on the wet mop. I felt like such a dope then I apologized to him and mentioned he didn’t have paper towels in the kitchen. He said they were on the to-do get list. We went out to shop later together. But I still wish it was erasable that it happened to him. He seemed so in anguish when we were in Wal-Mart together. I couldn’t help but cheer him up and buying him a coffee.

10003 Yes, thanks also D.B., I wrote it from scratch D.B. I had a character, a cigarette, and had to work from there. My story ended up just going to California from Florida which just evolved somehow.

10003 I'amber wrote: "Like any topic..."
I realize numerous groups have contest rules and choose topics to get the juicy creativity to flow in order to help the members who may like a tiny push. I don't mean to disappoint you I'amber, and intend on any Monday you choose to have one contest of free writing without a topic. Does this suit you?
