Carolyn Ruffles writes both contemporary and historical fiction, laced with mystery, romance and suspense. She loves reading books which tell a compelling story: books with drama and emotional depth; books with characters who stay with her, long after their tale has ended; books about ordinary people embroiled in extraordinary situations and learning about themselves in the process. This is what she strives to write.
Having retired from teaching, Carolyn wrote her first novel, The Girl in the Scrapbook, which was published in November, 2018. Who To Trust, followed in March 2020 and The Vanishing Encore, her third book, in 2021. The Lightbody Legacy, her fourth book and the first part of her Lightbody Mystery duology, is set for release 15th ...more
