George Pessin has been a UC-certified Master Gardener since 2004. Since 2010 he has been teaching the Grow LA Victory Garden Classes, a multi-session 12-hour course conceived to teach local urban dwellers how to grow their own fruits and vegetables. Currently, George is teaching those classes twice a year (Spring and Fall) at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, CA.
George is also the owner of SchoolGardenWeekly.com, a website devoted to helping parents and teachers start and maintain school gardens.
Originally from New York, George now resides in Los Angeles.
