[close] Given up on IRL book clubs? Hard to find a time and place that works for your group of friends? I propose an ASYNCHRONOUS book group. We just tell each other what we're reading and if we happen to meet up, we might discuss a shared book, or pitch a favorite book. Also a facebook group. Might meet IRL on occasion. Maybe books will be swapped.

[close] This meetup (also through Meetup.com) is for anyone who is interested in coming together to form friendships and create a community with people who also happen to love books and enjoy discussing them in a positive and relaxed environment. The books will primarily be fiction and are open to all genres. However, if anyone is interested in reading a non-fiction book we are open to that as well. ALL suggestions welcomed.

We rotate between plays (Shakespeare & friends), classic novels (Tolstoy, Austen, Ibsen, etc.), and a monthly Harvard Classics Coffee Club pick (short, actionable reads like Ben Franklin’s Autobiography). Think: big ideas, zero academic gatekeeping.
