[close] This is a group dedicated to exploring the interface between Architecture and Environmental Sustainability. Individual topics will vary from those solely addressing architecture, to those solely expanding the topic of sustaining life on earth as we know it; but the emphasis is on how the profession of architecture and building as a system addresses the problem of efficiently utilizing finite resources to create culturally significant artifacts without diminishing the natural resources that future generations will depend on. Building Information Modeling, Integrated Project Delivery, CAD/CAM direct fabrication and the shifting of systemic roles within the building design and production process will all be central themes to our discourse.
