[close] Welcome to the Dare to Doubt book club! Dedicated to helping people detach and heal from harmful belief systems, each month we're going to read a book by an author who dared to doubt and then discuss it the next month. From cult survivors to former Christians to ex-Muslim apostates, we'll be focusing on the shared emotional journeys of different experiences in and out of faith.

[close] The South African Secular Society is a group of non-believers, secularists, humanists, naturalists and other irreligious people who strive to forward the cause of secularism in South Africa and provide a network for those interested in community without religion.

[close] This a group for the discussion and planning of our local book club. Books will be announced two months in advance to give people time to attain and read the book. We will then meet at a local venue to discuss and share thoughts. We will likely read on a variety of subjects over time, spanning from science, activism, civil law and rights, secularism, and many more. [close] جرأت تحقیق کا بنیادی مقصد پاکستان اور دنیا بھر کے اردو خوان طبقے کو اس حقیقت سے آگاہ کرنا ہے جس حقیقت پر صدیوں سے عقیدت اور اندھی تقلید کے اس قدر مہین پردے ڈال رکھے تھے کہ جنہیں ہٹانا بذات خود ایک مسئلہ ہے، عرصہ دراز سے روشنی کی کرنوں سے محروم نگاہوں کو جب سورج کے سامنے لا کھڑا کیا جائے تو ان کی حالت کا اندازہ کیا جا سکتا ہے، تھوڑی دیر کیلئے آنکھیں چندھیا جاتی ہیں، لیکن رفتہ رفتہ آپ اس روشنی سے مانوس ہو جاتے ہیں اور حقیقت آپ کے سامنے واضح ہو جاتی ہے۔ جرأت تحقیق نے جس بات کو تحقیق کی روشنی میں سچ جانا اسے دو ٹوک الفاظ میں سب کے سامنے بیان کرنے کی جرأت کی ہے، کسی لفاظی سے کام نہیں لیا، کوئی منافقت نہیں دکھائی، کسی مصلحت کو اختیار نہیں کیا۔ کسی زود رنج طبیعت کو جھوٹ کا آسرا دینے کے بجائے سچائی کی جراحت کے عمل سے گذارا۔ ہماری اسی جرأت اور تحقیق کا یہ نتیجہ ہے کہ بہت سے لوگوں کو ان کے سوالوں کے جواب میسر آئے، متذبذب طبیعتوں کو قرار حاصل ہوا، الجھے ہوئے پیچیدہ ذہنوں کو سلجھاؤ کا راستہ میسر ہوا۔ وہ کبھی سر راہ اعلانیہ اور کبھی سرگوشی میں ہمیں شکریہ کہتے ہیں۔ ہم ان کے شکر گذار ہیں کہ انہوں نے تحقیق کو قبول کرنے کی جرأت دکھائی اور وہ ہمارے شکر گزار ہیں کہ ہم نے انہیں جرأتِ تحقیق سے روشناس کرایا۔
