How have they shaped our past and our modern world? We’ll explore how the major religions originated and spread, especially through a critical reading of how their sacred texts and shared beliefs came into being and why they were accepted as essential to the core of those religions. Religion is intertwined with culture and society in the fabric of our nations. This book club is more concerned with an understanding of religious history in the context of culture, society, and nationhood than it is about thinking about theology per se.

[close] Gerfarer is the pen name of the author of The Abbot of Morpheus. He is a middle-aged male, who lives at the intersection of certain coordinates on the globe. He drinks tea with a few squeezes of lemon and three sugars in the morning and listens to podcasts before going to sleep in the night. He breaks down everything and then helps you to rebuild it back together and encourages you to discern for yourself.
