[close] 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀. There are two arms to our publishing house, Better Than Starbucks Poetry & Fiction Journal and Better Than Starbucks Publications. If you love good hot brews (coffee, teas, infusions, or just the concept of hot brews) coupled with great books and sharp wit, and if diverse and eclectic poets and authors, past and present, excite you——that is to say, if you love a good read——then please join us. As bookaholics, we aren’t interested in any 12-step programs, except maybe programs where we get to read new books. We love our addiction, and encourage you to indulge too—while enjoying your favorite hot brew. Please be courteous, kind, and respectful to others when conversing. Let's celebrate diversity and learn more about each other. Attacks on young, slow, or otherwise disadvantaged players will not be tolerated. We encourage sharp, pointed (but clever) comments between equals. No partisan politics. No salaciousness. No sordidity (but well used profanity is okay). No proselytizing beliefs and ideologies, though discussion about them is welcome. Throw stones at issues, ideas, concepts, systems good and bad——NOT at names and parties. We want to have serious intellectual discussions that generate light, not just heat, though some sparks may fly and heat is generated where there is light. By serious, we don't mean that we ALWAYS need high-brow conversations—no way. We are serious about having fun and enjoying all kinds silliness, puns, smart aleck humor, and other ridiculous banter.
