Pragmatism

[close] Often the answers to our questions can be found in books, but the books are rarely the solution. Complex topics about a "Desired Change" often lead to a series of stages in the process (journey). This group is for those who prefer action and seek collaboration. Call it study buddy, accountability partner ,etc, the pragmatist will take the wisdom found in a book and start to make the desired change in his/her life. To see that others are acting on the same source, can be empowering. You are not alone, even when it seems as such. (This description has been written with ESL. Correction to sentence structure is welcome.)

[close] Environmentalism for Pragmatists focuses on books related to the environment. It is such a challenge to find quality material to read that is written for non-academics, and not fraught with opinion vs. facts. But there is a lot of great stuff out there - uplifting, positive, proactive, pragmatic, sad, scary, inspiring, thought provoking. As I work my way through what the new United States government administration means to the environment, the push to stop our environmental related agencies from communicating with the press, and how we can still move forward on environmental causes, I decided to start a book group to share what I am learning and learn from others as well. The plan is to select a few books every month or two for reading (or rereading) and discussion. If this topic interests you, please sign up.
