Old Books

[close] The Actually Pretty Doable Summer Reading Challenge is just tough enough to be interesting without being boring. Basically, we'll each agree to read 10 books in 10 weeks. Of these 10 books, only 2 will have to meet certain requirements: one book must be over 500 pages, and another book must have been first published over 100 years ago. These may NOT be the same book (hence the "challenge"). Beyond these 2 restrictions, you may choose from any genre or form of literature you please. Each week participants will post the title of the book they are reading. You are encouraged to post updates as you go, but everyone is expected to leave a brief review after completing each book. Instructions: 1: Read 10 books between June 22 and August 31. 2: You must have one Long Book and one Old Book. Long Books are 500+ pages; Old Books are 100+ years old. These can NOT be the same book. 3: Post your final 10 book choices to the Discussion Board before June 22, 2013. 4: Leave a brief review of each book after you've completed it. 5: Do it again next summer!

[close] Each month books will be selected (new or old) to read together and express reviews of the content. The book for each month will be announced on here and on the blog (thecuriousterp.blogspot.com) on the first Wednesday of every month. My review of the book will be posted on the last Wednesday of every month. I personally love young adult books and the lessons that are weaved into the stories. Feel free to recommend other genres as well!

[close] A safe place where we can socialize, get to know one another and discuss the books we're currently reading. You can even share what's your favorite coffee/tea or other drinks you're into this week/month or in general. The Main point of this book club is to just have fun reading and what better way than to read with your closest buddies.
